Tech Ed Solutions is now Easel Solutions. As you may of heard, Tech Ed Solutions was purchased by Easel Training of Minneapolis at the end of last year. Easel Training is an Adobe partner specializing in Adobe Flash, Flex and Elearning. Tech Ed’s specialty is Adobe Acrobat and PDF. Together we will offer our customers a wider range of solutions, as well as industry-leading expertise. You can visit us at our new office in located in the Creamery Building in the Lincoln Haymarket.

Student Parking Information

Student Parking Information: During the West O construction, students may park in the Iron Horse lot at 7th & Q. A Credit Card (Visa or MasterCard) is required to enter and exit the lot. Please disregard the monthly parking only signage. You MAY enter the lot with a credit card for classes. The cost is $2.50 per day. You will not receive a receipt or ticket until you exit the lot.

Students may also park on a first come first serve basis in the metered lot on the west side of the Creamery building. Most stalls are two-hour meters but directly in front of the old Crawdaddy’s building there are five-hour metered stalls available. The cost is 50 cents per hour. Bring your quarters!

Free parking is available in the Haymarket Garage at 9th & Q Street which is about four blocks from our office. Bring your ticket in with you to be validated.

The Creamery building has two entrances. The main entrance is off of P Street on the north side of the building. The elevator to the third floor is near the back of the building, follow the main hallway past the staircase to the elevators. The staircase is to the second floor only. You must take the elevators to get to the third floor. The West entrance is off the metered parking lot. There are two double doors on this side of the building, use the south set of doors. After entering, take the elevators located just inside the door, to the third floor. Handicap access is available at the west entrance of the building. Adobe Acrobat & PDF Central Conference 2008

The Adobe Acrobat & PDF Central Conference 2008 is scheduled for September 23 - 25, 2008 in Minneapolis at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Be sure to mark your calendars. More information will be available at www.pdfcentralconference.com in the upcoming weeks.

Check out our new class schedule in Omaha. We have partnered with Advanced Network Technologies of Omaha, Nebraska. We will now be offering a wider variety of technical training through ANT at our Lincoln facility. Various programming, security, and server administration courses will be available. Captivate/eLearning User Group

Adobe Air is the new buzz word around desktop applications. The Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR) allows developers to create desktop applications with every day tools like Flash and Dreamweaver. What does this mean for a Adobe Captivate user? This session will introduce Adobe AIR and demonstrate how Adobe Captivate can join the fun!

As an Adobe Certified Instructor with Easel Training, Inc., Dustin Tauer specializes in Flash, Flex, Captivate, and Acrobat Connect. Along with over 4 years of instructional experience, Dustin works closely with Adobe contributing to curriculum development, writing certification exam questions, and helping with product marketing.

Listen to Leonard Rosenthol, from Adobe, talk about how PDF has evolved from the simple ePaper world of Acrobat 1.0 to the rich digital envelope that it is today - and why that evolution has created the need for various "subsets" of PDF for specific industries. Learn about PDF for publishers & printers, PDF for long term archival and more. In addition, Leonard will also spend some time talking about how to secure and protect your PDFs and their contents.

Leonard has recently returned to Adobe Systems as the PDF Standards Evangelist. He comes back to Adobe following over 10 years of involvement in the PDF world. During that time he worked as the Director of Software Development for Appligent, and the Chief Innovation Officer for Apago, while also running the successful consulting business of PDF Sages. Before becoming involved in PDF, Leonard was the Director of Advanced Technology for Aladdin Systems and responsible for the development of the StuffIt line of products.

In this course, students learn how to create more sophisticated reports including subreports and cross-tabs, and how to increase the speed and efficiency of your reports by using SQL queries. Students will learn how to create running totals in a report, build cross-tabs in your report, add subreports to a report, design a report that uses a drill-down, improve processing speed in your reports, enhance report functionality, and much more.

Adobe Flash CS3 Advanced Design
April 14 & 15 - Lincoln
Flash Advanced Design provides the knowledge and hands-on practice required to build more flexible and dynamic design-based Flash pieces. This course focuses on teaching students more advanced ActionScript topics that removes their reliance on timeline-based visual tools. It also introduces them to other ActionScript code that will allow them to generate dynamic design and navigation elements that cannot be created without ActionScript.
